It gives me great pleasure to announce that our Franchise League 1962 Manager of the Year is . . . Randy Partin! Under Randy's leadership, the Red Sox had an epic conclusion to the 1962 season, overcoming the Yankees to take the East Division Crown. In the process, Randy improved on the BoSox regular season record by thirteen full games.
Randy was selected by a vote of his fellow managers. Each manager voted for two managers. First place votes received two points, while second place votes received one. Final results (with first place votes in parentheses) were:
Randy Partin, Red Sox (8) 18 points
Paul Wootten, Cardinals (2) 9 points
Dean Collins, Orioles (2) 7 points
Carl Alexis, Senators 2 points
